JCPenney Opens At Eastdale Mall

Montgomery, Alabama - Starting today, “It’s All Inside” at Eastdale Mall with the grand opening of a brand new JCPenney store. Not only is this the familiar advertising slogan for retail giant JCPenney, but it is an accurate statement about Montgomery’s selection of department stores - they’re now all represented under one roof at Eastdale Mall.

“We are excited about the opening of this brand new JCPenney at Eastdale Mall,” stated Owen Aronov, President of Aronov Realty Management, Inc. who leases and manages the mall. “JCPenney’s new store format will complement our other fine merchants at Eastdale Mall, providing a complete retail experience for area shoppers. Now, customers can shop our great selection of specialty retailers and all of Montgomery’s department stores in one comfortable and convenient location.”

The new JCPenney store at Eastdale Mall, covering 93,644 square feet, is a new format designed for greater shopping convenience. In addition to JCPenney’s tremendous offering of fashion, quality and value, customers will experience wider aisles for shopping carts, improved lighting and expedient customer service centers. The new store layout helps shoppers easily locate major brands such as Arizona Jean Co., Chris Madden for JCPenney Home Collection, SouthPole, Worthington, Stafford, Mudd, Bisou-Bisou, Oshkosh, St. John’s Bay, Colin Cowie for JCPenney Home Collection and more.

Reflecting the company’s “It’s All Inside” message, the store’s full-service salon offers professional hair styling services, spa pedicures and manicures, skin care services, waxing services and quality products. The salon also features top products, such as Redken, Matrix, BioSilk, and Sebastian. In addition, customers can place orders or pick up catalog and Internet purchases at the store’s catalog desk.

“We built this store from the customer’s point of view,” said Store Manager Jim James. “Now, we’re really getting the best of both worlds -- a brand-new store and a location where we already have a strong and loyal customer base. We’re inviting everyone to come and celebrate with us.”

Throughout grand opening week, customers can register for great prizes, including an Entertainment Package with a 42-inch Sony plasma television and DVD player as well as a Notebook VAIO PC with 15" LCD display. In addition, 10 lucky shoppers will win $500 gift cards to be used toward any JCPenney purchase. Other activities include product demonstrations and special discounts for the entire family.

JCPenney will be the fifth department store unit at Eastdale Mall joining an outstanding lineup of other major department stores including Dillard’s, Sears, Parisian Women and Parisian Men & Children. The 800,000+ square foot mall also includes more than 85 specialty stores, The Courtyard Cafes’, The Ice Palace --Alabama’s only ice rink in a mall, and Eastdale Cinemas 8.
