Aronov Family Foundation Receives Arts Award
Montgomery, Alabama - The Aaron Aronov Foundation was recently presented with
the Frank Plummer Memorial Arts Award by the Business Committee for the Art during a
ceremony at The Embassy Suites Hotel in downtown Montgomery.
The Aaron Aronov Foundation was established in 1992 to honor the late Mr. Aaron
Aronov, founder of Montgomery-based Aronov Realty, to continue and expand upon
the good works initiated by him. The Foundation administers funds for charitable,
literary and educational purposes, among others, all for the public welfare and
is committed to improving the cultural life the Montgomery community.
Owen Aronov, son of the late Mr. Aronov, received the award on behalf of the
foundation at the awards luncheon. The Aaron Aronov Foundation received the
award in recognition of its involvement in promoting the arts in Montgomery,
notably its sponsorship of and leadership roles in organizations like the
Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts, The Montgomery
Symphony Orchestra, and it’s fund-raising efforts for the Cleveland Avenue
YMCA Cultural Arts and Education Center.
“This award is an honor for us,” said Owen Aronov. “The Aronov family has a
deep care for the community in which we live and do business, and feel it
is important to give back to the community in various ways. Forming strong
alliances with various arts organizations is certainly important in improving
the quality of life and enhancing the community where we live.”
