Hot Springs Mall Introduces “Shiny New Look” and Kicks-off Grand Re-opening Events
Hot Springs, Arkansas - A ribbon cutting ceremony marked the completion of a significant renovation
that has transformed Hot Springs Mall into a shiny new shopping showplace for central Arkansas. The ceremony was held
on Tuesday, September 20 at 10am. Local dignitaries, mall officials, corporate management and construction teams were
on hand for the celebration.
The ribbon cutting ceremony kicks-off a week-long Grand Re-Opening celebration that will include an exciting mix of
performers, fashion events, sales promotions, shopping spree giveaways, an appearance by Sponge Bob Square Pants,
and the chance to win over $7,000 in gemstones during the Diamond Dig on Saturday. Details on special events and
promotions are available at the Hot Springs Mall Customer Service Center.
The renovation project, which was completed in less than five months, includes a wide variety of exciting interior enhancements.
The centerpiece of the renovation is the Center Court area with a sparkling new water feature. New ceilings, improved
lighting, beautiful new carpeting of alternating warm neutral tones, and lush new interior landscaping create a fresh new
look for the mall. A newly designed Customer Service Center and matching retail merchandising carts offer improved
access and shopper convenience.
For the complete comfort of its’ shoppers, Hot Springs Mall is pleased to introduce new, comfortable soft seating areas
including upholstered sofas and chairs, tables and lamps, all replacing traditional bench seating.
The food court has been expanded with additional seating and features unique umbrella-covered tables creating an
atmosphere reminiscent of that found in street cafes.
In addition to the renovation, Hot Topic and Aeropostale will be opening stores at Hot Springs Mall in 2006. Hot Topic is
a mall-based chain of retail stores that specializes in apparel, accessories, gifts, and music for teenagers. For more about
